ABOUTME

Vanessa Espinel is a journalist, news writer and entertainment blogger. From President Obama's 2008 run for the White House to the birth of Princess Charlotte and everything in between, she has covered key events in history (and the red carpet) for the past six years.

Born in New Jersey, Vanessa relocated to Miami with her family just in time to take her first steps on the sandy beaches of SoFlo. Boy bands, braces and many bad haircuts later, she attended Florida International University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Communications and a minor in Psychology.

During her time at FIU, Vanessa worked as an opinion staff writer for The Beacon Newspaper, interned at MTV Networks, interviewed a YouTube sensation, covered the world premiere of Cotton's 24 Hour Runway Show hosted by Giuliana and Bill Rancic, and contributed stories to The Miami Desk which were later picked up by The Miami Herald.

What else does she thrive at? TV, social media, film, public relations, and publishing. In 2011, Vanessa founded Hollywood Bulletin, a growing entertainment news blog that currently reaches close to 210,000 followers and has garnered about 20 million likes. Mindy Kaling, Zooey Deschanel, Teresa Palmer, Michelle Monaghan, Gina Rodriguez, The Flash's Grant Gustin, Brooklyn Nine-Nine's Chelsea Peretti and Tom Cruise are among the celebs you will find have shared her posts on social media.

Vanessa worked as a writer at WSVN (FOX Miami) for nearly two years before taking on an associate news/entertainment producer role with WPLG (ABC Miami). You can currently catch her work airing weekdays on Local 10.
